Trillium is a protected flower and the time from seed to blossom is up to 10 years, with a lifespan of up to 25 years.

It is native to North America, with the most abundant growth being in Appalachia!

​

Trillium is one of the early flowers of the season, blooming from late March through early May.

​

Young leaves before the flower blossoms can be consumed cooked or raw, but please leave these flowers be.

​

Ants are attracted to a chemical in the seed pods, and are used to propagate the plants!
